Getting Around

Bimini is so small that cars are limited. Taxi service is available by telephone, radio (VHF channel 68), or you can flag one down on the street. Taxi fares range from $3.00-$4.00 per person, depending upon the amount of luggage that you have. The main form of rental transportation available on the island is a golf cart. You can also rent a bicycle or a moped to get around. But remember, when you take to the road, British rules apply, so please keep to the left. Visitors may use their home driver’s license for up to three months and may also apply for an international driver's license. Pedestrians should remember to look right before crossing streets.

Golf Cart Rental Once you clear custom's at the South Bimini Island Airport you will exit the airport and will wait or be greeted with a taxi Service.  Tell the driver you are headed to the North Island.  You will travel by bus to a ferry and by ferry to North Bimini.  You are able to walk from the ferry doc to your hotel.  All hotels are to the North or you will walk to the right after exiting the ferry doc.  After you check into your hotel you can then walk to one of the below golf cart rentals to pick up your transportation if you desire.  Capt.
